Neighborhood: Westside / Home ParkMoney well-spent, my friends! I was very skeptical about Bacchanalia, afraid there was no way it could live up to all the hype. I was wrong. As far as I'm concerned, time spent in Atlanta needs to include a dinner at Bacchanalia.
I couldn't have asked for a better birthday meal. I loved every course, plus all the little tastings in between, which really make Bacchanalia a fun experience. I was really impressed with the service, from the knowledge of the wine list to the attention to little details - every detail.
I will definitely have to come back for a lunch experience since I've heard that can be just as good.

Who ever said it was money well spent was right. Although, it is pricey I did enjoy our first visit and was happy to see but not really suprised to find them on here. We will go back sometime soon since we are moving here and did enjoy it.

"The most complete meal I've ever had." Those were the words of my wife after we spent our 4th wedding anniversary at Bacchanalia on Thursday night. We haven't agreed on everything in our 4 years together, but we are seeing eye to eye on this one. Bacchanalia's fixed menu is the gift that keeps on giving...the gifts from the chef are a nice touch to an already great meal.
Everything I ate was amazing, but the things I would say you MUST try are the Crab Tart appetizer and the Duck entree. Everything is presented like you are at an art gallery...you almost feel bad eating such beauty. After they brought our desserts out, they came around the corner with a mini wedding cake with a candle to celebrate our occasion. My cake-aficionado wife was in heaven.
Service was top notch as they paid attention to every detail. For example: My Duvel beer wasn't poored correctly and they noticed it right away and brought out a free one to go along with that one. It's the little things that set places like Bacchanali apart from everyone else. They also handed us 2 bags full of breads and pastries on the way out the door to top everything off...like I said...the gift that keeps on giving.
Don't sell yourself short...enjoy a nice dinner...you deserve it. I know we did.

Baccanalia was recommended as the priciest and must visit place in ATL.
For SFers, we weren't impressed with the decor nor the flavor. Rated as the top dating spot, the restaurant was quite busy, rotating tables one after another with couples and groups. Decor reminisces Town Hall with brick walls and glass windows for the kitchen.
Service at Baccanalia is an A or A+, which earns it 3 stars. We were seat right away with a great table in the restaurant. It always makes the girls feel extra special when the servers pull the chairs for you. ;) Water cups were never half empty and pace of each served dishes were consistent.
Chilled corn soup was a bit undercooked. Peach salsa was minced too finely to provide the acid needed for the foi. Duck dish was too salty (I drank 4 cups of water) but the risotto was perfectly done. Filet and halibut can both use a pinch of kosher salt and pepper.
Complimentary cookies saved the day! Tasted (bit size) all of them and loved it. But regretfully, I packed on too much water to enjoy every bit of it.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! I am not sure I will be able to eat anywhere else (although my pocketbook can't sustain such a life) now that I have tasted the divine food at Bacchanalia. I truly do believe it is one of the best meals I have had.
First, let me just say that the chef was in a good mood because we received several items complements of the chef last evening. It started with a yummy puff pastry filled will out of this world cheese. It was then an amazing corn chowder. Then there were two dessert (a sampling of cookies, truffles and Madelaines). I am going to spare my general blow by blow description of the evening because it was all amazing. The lamb and the kimchee shrimp were the highlight of the evening, by far! The cheese course was also amazing. I had the beet salad with a creemy toome chese that was to die for. The pairing of the cheese with the beets was excellent.
If you want a truly special evening, please put this on your list. It is really a meal not to be missed. I did want to point out that while the food was out of this world, the waiter was just so-so. For this level of a restaurant, I expected an amazing server. I did not find him to be so. His knowledge of the wines was not good at all...to the point that I asked for a suggestion and he showed me the wine list and left me to poke my way through the list with little assistance. He was not very knowledgeable about the menu and just did not meet my expectations. But, for this picky one, even with this issue, I still give the place five starts.
Loved, loved, loved it!

There's a reason that this restaurant repeatedly gets voted 'Best of Atlanta'. The food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. Went with my boyfriend for his birthday and had a great overall experience.
The $75 prix-fixe menu includes the appetizer, entree, cheese and contrast, and dessert. It is pretty standard for the chef to send out tastings to the tables. Ours included the pastry puffs, corn chowder, lemon panna cotta with cantaloupe sorbet and pralines, choc chip cookies, lavender truffles, coconut macaroons, and madelines. They were all fabulous, and honestly, by the time dessert came, I couldn't eat anymore.
For appetizers we ordered the crab fritter (great) and the veal sweetbread with chicken, lentils and roasted peaches (good, but not anything exciting).
Entrees: halibut with corn, leeks, and mushrooms (loved it) and the pork loin with pink-eyed peas and grits (the pork loin was more like ham?!, the bacon was fine, and the grits were quite good).
Cheese and contrast: roasted, raw, and beet sorbet with paired cheese (great, unusual) and Comte St. Antoine (light, good)
Dessert: Chocolate Cake with mint ice cream (more like a molten chocolate cake-I'm not complaining and great ice cream) and the corn cake with basil gelato and tomato marmalade (actually a good combination)
And to top it all off they brought out an adorable raspberry filled cupcake with cream cheese icing and blueberries on top...and a candle for the birthday celebration.
Lovely dining experience.

If you want to experience heaven only in the afterlife, then pass on Bacchanalia. For years I have heard much about this restaurant and I was expecting great things, and was worried that no restaurant could live up to that level of hype. However, Bacchanalia completely surpassed every expectation that I arrived with.
We started with the crab fritter and local pork pate plate, both of which were amazing. I was a little concerned about the portion size (the first course was rather small) and thought I may go away hungry when the meal was over, but was I ever wrong. For the entree we tried the diver scallops and the aged prime New York strip. The scallops were tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked and beautifully accompanied by delicate chanterelle mushrooms. The steak, which was dry aged for 28 days, has to go in the books as the best steak I have ever eaten (and this means every steak I've ever ordered in many of the top steak houses in New York, Atlanta, and other major cities). It was simply amazing with each bite bringing such unbelievable flavor that I couldn't help but smile continuously.
For the third course we tried the watermelon/feta salad and the cheese cart. The blend of flavors in the salad was bright and clean and very refreshing. The cheese cart was yet another amazing item with 12 cheeses offered, of which we chose four. If you pass up the cheese cart here, then you've really missed out.
Finally, the dessert course arrived with blueberry pie and caramelized fig tart, both of which were delicious and brightly flavored.
The wine list is also spectacular but expect to fork out serious money for a decent bottle. It's well worth pairing a good wine with your meal at Bacchanalia as a mediocre wine would have just sullied the experience.
Overall, I'd give the service an A++ and the food is even better. The pacing of the meal was fantastic. We never waited too long for the next course and we were never rushed. Also, the chef sent out several tasting items between courses that let us sample other unique and wonderful tastes.
Hands down, this is the best restaurant at which I have eaten in Atlanta and it's easily one of the best in which I've ever eaten anywhere. Expect to spend about $200/person for dinner and a good bottle of wine, but also expect to feel like it was worth every penny.

This is definitely a 5-star restaurant. Service was impeccable & the decor is simple, cozy, elegant. The only thing that would have made my dinner better was if I hadn't burned my tongue on the amuse bouche! :(
The menu is 4 course prix-fixe, and you get all kinds of gifts from the chef between courses. The amuse bouche that night was a little pastry with cheese on the inside - I was warned it was hot, straight from the oven, but I was so excited I just went for it...and burned my tongue. The courses I had were crab fritter, scallops & pork belly, pecorino romano & argula, and apple pie. Every course was superb. Their menu changes with the seasons so I wouldn't expect to have these same 4 courses again. And, after our last course - dessert, we had one last gift from the chef - cookies! I was so full by the time we left, but it really is a great experience, the food is so amazing.
OK it just does not get any better then this. and for those of you who think its expensive.. try Joel or ECCO or Seegers ( would that it was still here) or the likes of them .. yeah you will save your self $20-$30 but i guarantee you will be back. .they just are not the same.. Or come at lunch time same great food.. one less course $20 less.
This is Clean Simple Food in a clean and simple place, with what has to be the most un EFFECTED SERVICE in town. If after the amuse bush, app, entree, palate cleanser, dessert and cookies your still hungry.Maybe your and OLD COUNTRY BUFFET person.. LOL

The food at Bacchanalia is some of the best in town. You really can't pick anything on their Prix Fixe menu that would be a disappointment. The vegetables come from their local farm and are scrumptious - as good as it gets!
Here is a great secret about Bacchanalia - go sit at the bar and order a la carte! This would be a great option for a summer evening when it feels too hot for several courses. Plus, you will still be served the all the little "gifts from the chef". Amazing!

I love food. And have had great dinners at some of the world's best restaurants. So, I was very excited to pay a visit to Bacchanalia. Since moving to Atlanta, I have heard a lot about this place. So, as you can expect--my expectations were verrry high. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The space was nice--elegant decor with good lighting. I give the service an A. As for the food--it was pretty mediocre. I expected for the food to blow me out of this world--which it did not. Sadly to say, I've had better food for half the price else where. I left there full-- but, was verrry unfulfilled. Expect to pay at least $300 for a dinner of two (couple glasses of wines/cocktails).

I have been dining at Bacchanalia since they were in their original location in an old house on Piedmont Rd. Even then, before I became a full blown foodie, I realized that I was experiencing something really special.
Today, they've really paved the way for fine dining here in-town and Anne * Cliff have done it their way. Bacchanalia may be the oldest of their concepts but its still relevant and valuable to the scene both in Atlanta and nationally.
So what about the food? Everything I have ever consumed at Bacchanalia has been wonderful to incredible. The old standbys - the crab fritter and the chocolate cake - have been on the menu for years for a reason. The crab fritter may be one of the best dishes in town, still to this day. There is a modern-ness and simplicity in the dishes while having complexity in flavor. They have special skills with roasting vegetables - the roasted beets and goat cheese is always killer here. The cheese course is always beyond words. Fish is cooked with a gentle and skilled hand. Desserts are not overpowering and not cloyingly sweet - try a souffle if they have one on the menu that day.
Service is always spectacular here - it's trumped only by the service downstairs at Quinones, which is on steroids. Plates are brought and cleared seamlessly. Water glasses are never empty. Courses don't run over each other.
It's perfect.

It has been a while since my last visit, but Bacchanalia is still the standard by which the others are judged. I started with the Crab Fritter which was outstanding. The Filet was one of the best I've had and perfectly prepared. The tart for dessert was the perfect finish to the meal which included wine pairings to compliment each course. The only detractor was the woman at the next table that respect the other diners. Her phone was ringing throughout the meal. Goes to show you that money cannot buy you taste or social grace.

"Probably overrated," I tell the people I'm with, as we drive North.
"No," the clients promise, "if you don't absolutely love this place, if you don't think it's one of the best restaurants in the country, your dinner's on us."
"Who gets to decide," I ask.
"We're so confident you'll love it," they say, "that we'll let you decide for yourself."
"But I'm on an expense account," I say, "please let me pay, you're my clients."
"Nope," they say, "that's the deal."
So you wonder, would I have paid for it even if I hated it? Nope. They're not just clients, but my friends too. But they knew what they were doing. With hindsight, it was like shooting fish in a barrel for them, there was just no way they could be wrong. This place is too good not to love. Outrageous tasting food, local produce, world class, professional staff. Can't say enough good things. I try to go here every time I travel to Atlanta and always will. You should too. But it is very expensive - so take that corporate credit card out for a spin. Any client you bring here will be a client forever.
Better yet, take a date, Lance Romance, and you can enjoy breakfast together the next day.

rainy friday night, sons farmed out,
Wife says: lets order pizza
Daughter says: lets go out
Husband/ Dad says: Pasta Figo?
Slumming it in flip flops and warm-ups, my girls and me in jeans head down the road, past the reservoir, Huff Road and into the parking lot. Tacos (del sol), fried chicken (JCT), or Pasta (figo). We get in the too-long line at Figo, and I say to my girls "can I go look at the bar at Bacchanalia and see if we could sneak in?" Wife shocks me with a yeah - go check it out.
Timidly, I tell the hostess at Bacchanalia that my 9 year old daughter and illicitly young wife are feeling underdressed and the hostess says "we have no dress code and we could seat you at the bar where you could order ala carte, sure!" (note** A LA CARTE - AT THE BAR not price fixed!)
Well, fella's, I'm no ladies man but put me at the bar at Bacchanalia with the two most important ladies in my life, and I'm now their hero. What a great two hour meal! Wonderful!!!

I was so excited to try this spot as I had heard so much about it and the fact that it was the best restaurant in Atlanta.
Well, I would normally give it a 1 star, but I feel that I must take partial blame for my awful meal so I give it a bonus star for trying to please a pesky vegetarian. My experience:
The staff was a bit bewildered by the tattooed guy who was eating alone (was he a critic? a rock star? an actor?-- nope, I am just some stoopid, booze-hound dad trying to get a meal) Did he really ask for the prix-fix but without meat or seafood? What should we do?
Well, of course I got wine (no carafe and warm. Yuck) and I could not finish it (they corked it for me when I left but I just threw it away.)
I got food that was un-imaginative and sloppy: a plate of Corn kernels with mint. Corn was over-cooked and gummy. I like the idea of mint, but what about salt, pepper and butter? Do you have any of that back there? Okra (nothing else). Pasta with vegetables (this was ok, but lacked salt.) Some other dish. Cheese was good, but the wine was awful, so what good was that?
I wanted peach cobbler but got some sort of chocolate thing that I just pushed away from me (reminded me of Bob's Big Boy's sundaes.)
Like I said, probably my fault that I was disappointed here as they were probably surprised by the veggie.
But, warm wine? How dare they. I then had to find a store that sold booze in Atlanta which is not easy and just made me mad and tired.

This is a restaurant that lives up to all the hype. I'll be honest, I've had better food in Atlanta, BUT the food is still great and some of the best in town. The thing that sets this place apart is the service, which is the BEST in Atlanta, hands down. Bacchanalia has a certain style that I've not seen elsewhere. The service is professional as fine dining should be, but there is a warmth that comes with it. The servers seem genuinely passionate about the food, which lends to the entire experience. The dining room isn't very large so you get wonderful attention.
The food is also excellent. There is a nice wine selection, and the staff takes great care in helping you select a wine that complements your dinner selection. They really work with you in making your experience the best it can be. I recall how there was something not on the menu that one of the people in our group wanted that night. It was something that he had tried before at the restaurant. He mentioned it to the server, and somehow the restaurant made it happen.
Their model works and is something that other restaurateurs can learn from. I was really pleased and look forward to going back. For the service alone, it might just be my favorite restaurant in Atlanta.

two words: beet sorbet
un-fucking-believable.
i wont waste too much time with what the other yelpers have said- the service was amazing and very professional (and yet not snobby) and the food was delicious.
the dinner menu is a prix fixe and each course is just delivered with such style and creativity. many items on the menu are local and they are bursting with freshness and flavor. among the standouts on the menu included the beet salad and cheese (with the aforementioned beet sorbet), crab fritter, the corn cake with basil ice cream, and blueberry pie. the garnishes were also very playful- the corncake came with a tomato jelly that was sweet as it was artfully served.
the only drawback was my halibut- though the waiter said it would "melt in my mouth", i found it to be a little dry. however, other people in my party had the grouper and lamb- all of which were terrific.
this is a place i will totally come back to- provided my parents are in town to pay the bill.

Without a Doubt my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. From the moment you enter to the moment you leave, everything is done with the utmost attention to detail, class and elegance. Yes, it is a splurge and although I can only afford to eat here on special occasions (maybe twice a year), it is worth every penny. The decor can seem out dated, but then you begin to notice that they don't want you to look around the room at the latest over the top artist's gigantic painting or sculpture; but instead pay attention to your meal! The neutral color scheme makes you focus on what's important: The Food and Drink!
I think the thing I enjoy the most is when they roll the cheese cart out and you get to play "pick the cheese". During my first visit with my mother and brother, I thought my brother was going to propose to the cute girl serving and presenting the cheese cart as she described each one with perfect pronunciation and accent for each cheese.
Then dessert arrived, and I fell in love with my chipotle chocolate tart with avocado ice cream. Honestly, hands down the most innovative and palate pleasing dessert I have ever had. The sweet and bitterness hits your taste buds first then a few seconds later this little fire ignites in the back of your mouth and warms your throat. Take a bite of the avocado ice cream to put out the fire... and repeat. :)
In my opinion, go big when dining here. Splurge on the wine paired prix fixe menu, and enjoy every moment of the magical culinary indulgence you are about to experience.

Anne and Clifford never disappoint. If you are truly looking for a memorable dinner this is your place. They take seasonal locally grown ingredients and pair them with amazing proteins and beautifully present them. There really isn't enough I can say about this place...
The menu changes weekly/bi-weekly based on ingredients available but they are good about updating their website to reflect new menus. If you want to reserve a spot-call about a month in advance to get a prime table at the time of your choosing.
In the front of the restaurant is Star Provisions. Prepared meats, equipment, a sweet shop area, wine and the heavenly cheese. Try their cheeses-they have a lot of rarer cheeses that you can't find at Whole Foods, etc. Everyone in the store is very helpful too.
Love this place!

I patronized Bacchanalia two years ago with a very diverse group of business associates. Some were high-brow New Yorkers, some were oenophiles, and some were "In and Out would be fine for dinner" (that would be me). Every single one of us, agreed the Bacchanalia was worth every penny and worth the trip from Downtown. The food and service was fantastic.
I can remember everything off the menu, but I will say this. There was a beef thing in a bowl that literally melted in my mouth. The cheese plate was "strong to real strong", and the desserts made me want to roll around naked in a vat of it.
The restaurant is nestled in this quaint warehouse shopping area, which belies the hoity-toity of the interior. The wait staff knew how to serve, but were, most importantly, not overly pretentious. This is a big turn off to me. Unless you prepared the food, then all you really are is a bellhop without the skates! Here, they were very adept at explaining all the dishes, how it was prepared, and generally seemed to enjoy serving there.
As far as prices, it is kinda spendy, but it's worth it. There is also a Prix Fixe menu where you can really go wrong. The wine selection seems very good and they can suggest pairings for you.
Whenever I am back in the ATL, Bacchanalia is the place I will go.

Everything I could say about the food would be redundant to the other reviews on here. Bacchanalia is absolutely the best dining experience I have ever had in Atlanta, Las Vegas, San Francisco, you name it!
I HAD to write this review for their service though. I walked in, was immediately seated and forgetting about the prix fixe menu stated aloud how starved I was. The maitre'd made it his mission to ensure I had something to snack on while waiting for my friend. The bread I munched was delicious, only rivaled by the second piece I had which I added butter to (not sure what, but this just does something great to it!). The rest of the meal had splendid service as well, I was just particularly pleased with the greeting and first 15 minutes in the restaurant. They had the opportunity to be snobby and force me to wait, but they opted to wow me off the bat and allow me to experience more of what Bacchanalia has to offer. Go for the ridiculously delicious food, go back for the incredible service.
Ok, what is with this place. My partner and I went, must have been an off night but still..., for our sixth anniversary and we were treated to a 200+ meal with nice service, good drinks and HORRIBLE, and I mean horrible, entrees. They were cold, bay scallops ( which weren't listed as bay) and way too much time between courses. I can wait a while between courses if the food is incredible, but we walked away scratching our head. The most amazing part of the meat, that saved it for us, was the cheese course. It was without a doubt the best I've ever had. But after hearing so much about this place, pehaps we built it up and it would never match what we were expecting. We definitely would not go back unless, we'll try Floataway Cafe next time instead. Perhaps they aren't on their A game during the week when business travelers are in town.
As it has already been said, this is the best restaurant in Atlanta, period.
The items on the menu are not overwhelming, and everything I have ever eaten here has been fantastic. The last meal I had there started off with some of the best oysters I have ever had in Atlanta that were topped with caviar. I followed this with tenderloin that was perfectly cooked and wonderfully presented.
The service was great, none of the amateurish snootiness that I have experienced at a lot of restaurants of late, just friendly, attentive and helpful service.
I would say the only thing close to complaining about is that the wine menu was very heavy on Pinot Noirs.

Many of my friends have asked me what my favourite restaurant in Atlanta is... my response has consistently been Bacchanalia. There are many culinary traditions that I enjoy immensely -- but to bring the dining experience to the highest level requires attention to many different levels of the diner's needs. The palate, the taste -- is central, but the attendant issues are not tangibly less important.
Bacchanalia delivers a dining experience that is intimate, compelling, and memorable.
Plush couches with sumptuous colour cradle the diners as they eat. Decor is comfortable, like an expensive antique couch -- showing wealth, but not in an ostentatious way. Colours are demure, and lighting wan -- but not dark. Food is served on a prix fixe basis at 72 dollars, with wine sampling for but a little bit more. The pairings they've picked for me have always been satisfactory. Waitstaff is knowledgeable, attentive, courteous, and non-intrusive. Whoever trains them is superb.
The food varies on visit to visit -- which is brilliant to me. Chef Anne Quatrano can focus on preparing dishes served during that time course... and not on other random meals -- allowing acquisition of those ingredients and not others!
Like Koy T noted, L'amuse bouche is but the prelude to fine dining throughout and throughout. The entire meal will take upwards of two hours, so make sure you enjoy conversation with your dinner partner... but even if you don't enjoy their company that much, there will be plenty of room for agreement about the quality of the food. The entire experience should be a pleasurable one, allowing one to focus one's attention on the smells and tastes of food prepared with art and love. All the other ancillary features of the restaurant unobtrusively allow the diner to enjoy the experience of eating.
That's what makes Bacchanalia so special to me.
They understand dining.

I actuallly would rank Bacchanalia as the best restaurant I've been to so far in my life. The food is so, so delicious that it all seems to melt in your mouth. I have only been here twice because it is expensive, and I tend to think of it as a special occasions type of restaurant. However, both times, I have been uber-impressed by the food. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small; it seems like you are in a modernized warehouse (that has now been redecorated to be really elegant). There is a bar on the right as you walk in, and behind the bar, it is all glass, and you can see into the kitchen and watch as all of the food is prepared. The menu is prix fixe, and you can choose to do it with the recommended accompanying wine samples for a higher price if you want. You pick from a variety of options at the beginning of the meal, and you select all four of your courses at once (including the dessert). Interspersed with the four courses are little samples from the chef which are both delicious and fun surprises because you don't really know when or what to expect (they can range from cucumber soup to cookies). At first, ordering all four courses at one time can be somewhat nerveracking, but you shouldn't worry because I really don't think that you can go wrong with anything. Literally, everything is delicious. The best chicken I've ever had was from here, so moist and tender. It is fun to eat this way also because it is so different from a more typical restaurant. The portions are a good size, in that you don't feel overwhelmed or stuffed by the time the fourth course arrives. I recommend this place 100%, and i do not see how you could be disappointed with a meal here.

L'amuse bouche. We started on a delicious cheese puff and the dinner continued from there. Delicious sweetbreads came with a well-matched chardonnay. The wine selections are overall excellent. Perhaps because I've heard so much hype about this restaurant that I had high expectations for it. Don't get me wrong, the food was great, but it was not out of this world like I expected it to be. I was a little disappointed in service. I made reservations for 9:30PM because that's all that was available and when we got there, there wasn't a table ready for us until 9:45. The bartender was very friendly but our waiter was a bit snooty. I went with a group of 6 and of all that we had, I'll list the best of the 4 courses.
Gulf Crab Fritter with Thai Pepper Essence (appetizer)
Duck Breast with Confit (main course)
Shaved Parmigiano Reggiano with Medjool Dates (cheese contrast)
Dulce de Leche Cookie with Coffee Ice Cream (dessert)

I don't know what else to add! I feel like if I write what I have in mind, I'm going to be redundant. It's a perfect date-night restaurant. Have someone you need to desperately impress? Then take them here. It's so romantic and the service is first-rate. Since every entree contained meat, I specifically requested a vegetarian dish. Of course, chef had no problem whipping up a dish that looked appeasing and delish. Although every course of the meal was great, the most memorable for me was the dessert - Finger lickin' good.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to and the best in Atlanta. The entire dining experience, from beginning to the end, was truly an enjoyable one. The menu is prix fixe at $72 for a 4 course meal (wine not included). The chef threw in a lot of complimentary items in between the courses, like soup, pastries, cookies. We even had a peach and buttermilk smoothie complimentary of the chef.
Everything they served was like a taste explosion in the mouth. The gingersnap cookie paired well with the peach buttermilk smoothie. Poached pears went well with my flan.
The timing of each course was perfect. We didn't have to wait too long nor did it feel like we were rushed. Portions were just right. We ate enough to savor each course without feeling stuffed. Service was excellent. Even though it was a dressy restaurant, it did not feel "stuffy" inside... the ambiance was on the casual, laid-back side.
Highly, highly recommend this place. The only down side is you need a fat wallet. But at $72 for the meal... I think it's well worth the experience and the quality of the food.

AMAZING!!! I would encourage people to put this restaurant on your "things I must do before I die" list. If you don't have a list, start one immediately and add this as #1. This was an absolute birthday treat for me from my beloved boyfriend. The next day I had a food hangover. AND I'll do it again when I have the opportunity. We selected the wine pairing option, which I would recommend as we were able to experiment with new wines that we might not otherwise try. The designers and restaurateurs were quite creative in their use of windows for an open kitchen concept without all the kitchen noise. We were situated in a corner at the only round table in the restaurant. Across the walls are banquette style seating covered in luxurious fabric. Since we like to sit next to one another, it worked perfectly for us to both sit on the banquette and have a bird's eye view of everything going on in the restaurant. The service was outstanding - our waiter (Ryan - ask for him) was so attentive and brought us out little decadent treats as the meal unfolded. The menu changes frequently, and if you have an opportunity to order the lamb - YUMMY. My boyfriend ordered the steak which came with a slight upcharge and it was well worth it. I can't rave enough about this place. I smiled the entire time I was there. I can't wait for my family to come into town so that I can share this gem with them. Oh, and on our way out, they gave us a loaf of their raisin walnut bread, which I made French toast out of the following morning. We enjoyed that tremendously!!
