Just off Hwy. 9 in an old Waffle House building, you'll find a little New York style deli. The primary customer of this quaint no-frills deli is probably blue collar workers, so their food is produced fast, but seems to be good quality and is priced fairly. There's a lunch counter and a handful of tables by the windows with a TV in the corner. Numerous signs indicate that they serve Boar's Head sandwich meat. It looks to be run by a nice Oriental couple.
I was in the mood for soup today because it's so cold, so I stopped by this deli for lunch. After studying the menu and asking a couple of questions, I very politely expressed my disappointment that there was not a soup and sandwich combo. They only have soup and salad/chips combo, so I would have had to have ordered a sandwich combo with soup on the side. Anyway, they were really nice and rang up my order of a sandwich combo (no soup). When they bagged up my order, the woman smiled and put in a cup of soup for free! I was very appreciative. The tuna melt on rye was good and the soup hit the spot! I think I'll stop by for breakfast next time because their bagels look delicious!
