It's an Irish Pub, with great music, great food, great drinks, and great service.  Is there anything missing?  I don't think so!! (unless you're looking for juggling chimps or particle accelerators, not so much of that stuff)

The place is very active and there are plenty of places to bring a group of friends and just hang out.  The service is really friendly and the place is well kept.  Thumbs up all around!

I was only here for a short time and it was late-night.  It was pretty crowded and there were lots of young-looking, very drunk people.  But, we got a table and ordered drinks and had very fast service for the entire time we were there.  The staff seemed friendly and it was a pretty laid back crowd although everyone seemed pretty sauced.  I think if I had arrived before it was so crowded and before the crowd got so inebriated, I might have enjoyed it more.  As it was, it was a fine place for a drink to round out the night.

Decent neighborhood Irish pub.  Used to be Meehan's, and still looks and feels like Meehan's.  Like most Irish pubs this is best for hanging out, drinking Guinness, and pub grubs; TVs feel like an afterthought, so if you want the sports bar atmosphere and watch games, go next door to Hudson Grille.  Beer selection is small, but Collin pours a perfect pint of Guinness, which is really all you need here.  Good mixed drink specials on Wednesday nights.  Trivia is quirky but fun if drunk.

Food is actually very good for a neighborhood pub.  I've had Shepherd's Pie, Lasagna, Fish and Chips, and burger.  Solid all around.

Seems to me this place gets way too crowded on the weekend or during college game nights.  Lots of recent grads.  Again, if looking to watch sports and a bigger selection of beers, consider Hudson Grille next door (can't vouch for their food though).

I stopped here with some friends after poker next door at Hudson Grille. The crowd here is definitely huge on a Friday night. They stay open late, so that's a plus.

I didn't eat here but I did have a pint of cider. $6.50 is pretty steep, so minus one star or two for that.

Favorites at Pub......

*Jager bombs poured directly from the bottle into your mouth (only for the elite and dumb!)
*Salmon Caesar Salad....DELISH!
*Steak Fajitas
*Fish Tacos
*Softball Team Sponsorship!
*and....Two kick ass Irish bartenders that will make fun of you and keep you smiling until it is time to stumble to a cab.

What more could a girl ask for?!

I wish all Irish pubs had a requirement that one of the staff, no matter the night, must always be dressed as a leprechaun. Maybe I'd like them more. Maybe then I'd consider it worth noting that a pub considers itself an 'Irish' pub. I just don't identify with the whole game.

What I DO identify with is that when you find a great one, an Irish pub that attracts customers that lose themselves, and forget any pretense of pretending to be something else for everyone else... you meet some awesome people. In Phoenix it's Rosie McCaffrey's, and here in Atlanta... well, It's not Pub 71 - but that's okay.

As the second stop on the 100 Strong Attendance MARTA pub crawl, Pub 71 was as loud and overwhelming as it should have been. Like a million-man march for alcohol, the bar and main dining area was overrun and the servers tried their best to stick to their designated cuts of area. By chance I met a knitting chemist and a bbq foodie that answers rental ads only to be propositioned by the man answering the door - circumstance and chance are lucky signs in an Irish pub.

With the servers doing their best to handle the crowd, and the drinks flowing everywhere around, we ordered food. Just the basics, a bag of salt & vinegar chips and calamari. It's comfortable here. I can see it being a Meehan's Public House long ago, but not as elegant and fake upscale as the newer locations. The salt & vinegar chips were some of the best I've had, and the soaked through bag made it exponentially better in every way possible, but the night was early and the hundred-man pub crawl moved on.

I've only been to Pub 71 at lunchtime when it's pretty slow, but I can tell they must have a great night crowd. I love to stop in here when I am craving fish and chips. Their guinness battered fish is excellent.

Hmm, no.  I'm just keeping it real.

I know this is a neighborhood pub, but this place is just way too loud to hold a civilized conversation with friends.  This definitely isn't my cup of tea, or in this case, my cup of Guinness

Be prepared to shout and ask "what did you say" when you go here.  But it doesn't matter, when you go to a bar to just drink and have a good time, right?

In the fashion of an old Irish, with 2 real Irish Bartenders, that will keep you smiling all night long.  The drinks are good and strong and the crowd for the most part is cool.   A must stop if you are in the brookheaven area.
They just got a new menu and the Turkey burger sliders are great, I am changing my mind on the food here, and saying it is a place now to drink and eat.

This is a neighborhood bar all the way.  Kind of like cheers without all the character.  It has mellow lighting that just dark enough to make that questionable guy in the corner fuzzy enough to be cute.  The decor is the typical Irish Pub style with dark woods, high back booths and checkered tiling.  The bar tenders are nice and the band plays music that you can dance to...if you've had a beer or two.

This is an enjoyable place if you like the pub type atmosphere.  I believe that they serve food but, I've never tried it.

Great friendly neighborhood bar.  Used be a Meehan's but changed name about a year go.  Not much changed with the name change, as far as I can tell.  The food is much better than the average bar/pub fare and they have a great beer selection on tap.  Service is typically friendly.  Good place to get an after work drink.

A friendly, neighborhood spot to hang out, especially for happy hour.  Formerly Meehan's Irish Pub, Pub 71 serves the same purpose --- beer, cocktails and bar food for the mostly young crowd that finds refuge at this cozy spot in Brookhaven.
