Bravely go where no Yelp Happy Hour has gone before: The Top of the Chop at Turner Field. Ok, enough with the Braves puns. But you should come out and join your fellow Yelpers as we cheer on the Braves against the New York Mets. If you're a Mets fan, that's ok, we'll just make you pay for the drinks!
"The Top of the Chop" is a patio in right field on top of the Chop House restaurant. There are of course many overpriced beverage and food options available. Be sure to make up for that by buying the cheapest tickets possible... you're not going to sit in your assigned seat anyway since you're going to be on the patio all night with your fellow Yelpers. If you're lucky, you can score $1 tickets in the Clark Howard Skyline section, but chances of that are pretty low... the next best bet is the Upper Pavilion tickets... a steal at $6. Don't bother with paying TicketBastard "Convenience" charges. Braves games rarely sell out, though if you arrive to the game late, the Upper Pavilion tickets might be.
Game starts at 7:10pm but why not arrive early to walk around the ball park and partake in the pre-game activities?
Parking: acres and acres of it! The more you want to pay, the closer you can park. If you want to take MARTA, go to Five Points station and follow the signs for the Braves Shuttle. The bus will drop you off and pick you up near the stadium ticket windows.
I'm notorious around here for planning events way in advance. Though they're not all posted yet, all Thursdays between now and July 10th, minus three weeks in May, have been accounted for.
